The grounds were indeed beautiful. I must admit, the scenery was quite nice.
The room felt more like a budget motel than a luxury hotel. It lacked a bathtub, and the fan didn't work, so the bathroom stayed steamy. The check-in process involved a long queue, and the breakfast situation was even worse, lots of waiting and chaotic setup. Honestly, for what I paid, it was a huge disappointment.

The hotel history tour with brian was nice. he told the story with character (i appreciated that detail). the room was gorgeous. The bed was comfortable. the bar decor was gorgeous.
the keycard failed when we returned from the pool. i noticed red spots on the duvet and one pillow. the welcome name on tv was incorrect (it was a minor issue).

The room included crystal glasses and beautifully scented toiletries. The staff prepared a breakfast to go for our early flight. Dinner in Kathleen's Kitchen featured high quality local ingredients and delicious dishes. The bar staff created a hot whiskey with real passion!!!
The keycard did not work when we returned from the pool, which caused a slight delay.

the fairmont balcony king was spacious and well-appointed. i noticed the luxurious toiletries and crystal glasses. the bed was very comfortable, i slept soundly each night.
the pool area needs some attention (i noticed cables sticking out near the water). there was also some confusion about where to find the front desk upon arrival. our keycard also failed once, requiring a trip back to reception.
